We have recovered several zoned punctated sherds from the Swift Creek midden. These examples exhibit fine punctations within a zone defined by narrow incised lines. Once again, the small size of the sherds inhibits classification, although these designs hint at a Gulf Coastal connection, possibly with Santa Rosa/Swift Creek populations. The punctations on this sherd are larger and more widely spaced than the three other examples.
